Agape Christian Church Expands Youth Ministry in Moldova

Agape Christian Church in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, is making significant strides in its mission to reach vulnerable youth across the country. Through their growing Teenage Club "3:16" and expanded summer camp programs, they aim to bring Christ's love to Moldova's "social orphans" – children whose parents have emigrated for work.

The church's youth outreach has seen remarkable growth:

• From just 5 teens to 30 weekly club participants in 18 months
• Successfully hosted over 30 children at last year's summer tent camp
• Planning for at least 50 participants at this June's riverside camp
• Focused on providing care, love, teaching and spiritual discipline

"For 30 years of independence, Moldova has suffered from very low economy that led to immigration of many people," said Victor Mirza, Pastor of Agape Christian Church. "Many kids and teens became social orphans, living with grandparents or one parent while others work overseas. Our goal is to reach these children for Christ and help them become true and mature disciples."

This reality is particularly challenging in Moldova, currently the poorest country in Eastern Europe. Many children grow up without proper care and guidance as parents seek employment abroad.

The upcoming summer camp will be held in June "on the brink of the river," offering a week of activities, mentorship, and spiritual growth for up to 50 participating youth. The church is currently seeking donations to support this expanded outreach initiative.
